kick off the fourth with patriotic concert

The Topeka High School Historical Society and Topeka High invite the public to the 18th Annual Patriotic Chimes Concert on Sunday, June 30.

New this year, food trucks will set up on 10th Avenue in front of Topeka High, starting at 5 p.m. The Music from the Tower Concert will start at 6 p.m., with Jerry Anderson (THS Class of 1967) playing patriotic tunes on the historic 18-note Deagan Chimes. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. (The school won’t be open for tours or restrooms).

This free event is always the Sunday before the Fourth of July. This year it also serves to help everyone get in the spirit for Topeka High School’s sesquicentennial — the flagship school turns 150 in 2021. This year’s chimes concert serving as one of the kick-off activities.
